Acceptance
By using Shade Diary, joining the waitlist, pressing a checkout-interest
button, creating a future account, buying a subscription, or using the
future app, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use Shade Diary.
You must be at least 13 to use Shade Diary. If you are under the age of
majority where you live, you may use Shade Diary only with permission from
a parent or guardian. Purchases must be made by an adult or with adult
permission.
Shade Diary Is A Beauty Planning Aid
Shade Diary helps users think through at-home hair color decisions before
they mix dye. It can organize starting hair details, old color history,
formula notes, qualitative Color Reads, Color Receipts, reminders, and
Day 3 proof. It does not guarantee a dye result, prevent damage, diagnose
allergies, replace strand tests or patch tests, or replace a licensed
colorist, medical professional, dermatologist, or product manufacturer.
Hair Dye Safety Boundaries
- Always read and follow the instructions, warnings, patch-test directions, and timing rules for the products you use.
- Do not use Shade Diary to override product warnings, allergy reactions, scalp irritation, breakage, chemical burns, or professional-only instructions.
- If you have a reaction, burning, swelling, breathing trouble, severe breakage, or another urgent issue, stop using the product and seek appropriate help.
- Safety stop conditions should remain visible before purchase. Paid access unlocks the full Color Read, not permission to ignore risk.
Purchases, Subscriptions, And Hard Paywall
Shade Diary plans a hard paywall with no free trial. The public funnel
currently collects purchase intent while checkout links are configured.
When purchase links are live, the prices shown before purchase will control.

Default Shade Diary Pro plan for Color Reads, Color Receipts, saved history, Day 3 proof, and app redemption.
Weekly
$12.99 / week
Secondary plan for urgent dye-day decisions.
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Renewal timing,
cancellation, refunds, taxes, receipts, and billing support may be handled
by Apple, Stripe, RevenueCat-powered web checkout, or another purchase
processor depending on where you subscribe. You are responsible for
canceling before renewal if you do not want the subscription to continue.
Web purchase redemption is planned to map to the same Shade Diary Pro
entitlement used in the iOS app. We may change prices, products, or offers
before launch, but the active checkout page must disclose the actual price,
renewal cadence, and no-trial status before purchase.
Refunds And Cancellations
If you purchase through Apple, manage cancellation and refund requests
through your Apple account and Apple's App Store process. If you purchase
on the web, manage the subscription through the checkout or customer portal
provided for that purchase path. We may issue refunds where required by law
or where the applicable processor allows it, but we do not guarantee refunds
for subscription periods already billed unless the purchase flow says otherwise.
Your Content
You keep ownership of photos, formulas, notes, Color Receipts, and other
content you provide. You give Shade Diary a limited license to host, process,
analyze, display, and transform that content only as needed to operate and
improve the product, provide support, secure the service, and comply with law.
Do not upload content you do not have the right to use. Do not upload
another person's face, hair photo, private information, or likeness without
permission. Do not submit medical emergencies or highly sensitive personal
information into optional notes.
Acceptable Use
- Do not break the law, violate another person's rights, or misuse someone else's account or payment method.
- Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe, or bypass the site, app, workspace, checkout, or authentication systems.
- Do not submit malware, spam, false purchase claims, abusive support requests, or content that exploits or harms minors.
- Do not resell, copy, frame, or commercially exploit Shade Diary without written permission.
Intellectual Property
Shade Diary, the website, app designs, copy, product names, visual system,
screens, and related materials are owned by Shade Diary or its licensors.
These Terms do not transfer our intellectual property to you. You receive
only the limited right to use the service as allowed by these Terms.
App Store Terms
If Shade Diary is distributed through Apple's App Store, Apple may require
Apple account terms, App Store purchase rules, and Apple's standard app
license terms to apply in addition to these Terms. Apple is not responsible
for providing Shade Diary support unless Apple's own terms require otherwise.
Disclaimers
Shade Diary is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent
allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and any
guarantee that a hair-color result will match a reference, avoid damage,
or be safe for your hair, skin, scalp, or products.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Shade Diary and its operators will
not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary,
or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, failed dye results,
hair damage, correction costs, or product reactions. Our total liability
for any claim related to Shade Diary will not exceed the amount you paid
to use Shade Diary in the three months before the claim, or $50 if you did
not pay us.
Changes, Suspension, And Termination
We may change Shade Diary, update these Terms, suspend access, or terminate
accounts when needed to operate the service, protect users, comply with law,
or respond to misuse. Continued use after updated Terms are posted means you
accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable
state law for the operator's principal place of business, without limiting
mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Disputes should

so we can try to resolve them informally.
